After meeting up with a few IDs, my wife and I decided to engage Vincent Chuah to handle our BTO because of his experiences and knowledge in dealing with details. Being the owners, we had certain requests (and some were not practical without our knowledge) and it was Vincent who diligently sharing the PROs and CONs to each of these requests, for us to make the best and most practical decisions. e.g. toilet door swing in vs swing out, built in study desk vs buying off the shelf, etc.
On top of that, Vincent gave us better solutions. E.g. my new neighbour was surprised we could install twin mini exhaust fans in our common toilet, which was something his ID said no to him. Any ID can draw the best 3D pictures but it is the end result and the post reno defect rectification that matter.
We were surprised by how quick he arranged the workers to fix the issues we identified. Yes, after sales service is also another important consideration for us before committing to an ID. One aspect I have no regret to spend extra on, is the high quality LED lighting for our BTO. I like to turn them on in the evening and the vibe in my dining, living and study areas changed completely. Overall, renovation is a process for me and my wife to rediscover our daily habits and how we want to live in this new home for the next 5 to 10 years. The help from Vincent did exactly that!
